THE NEW MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY!

To make sure your business information is accurate for the printing of our new "Reston Unlocked" Business Resource Guide, the publisher, Atlantic Communications Group, will conduct the upcoming member verification effort.
Atlantic works with a third-party agent, Chamber Directory Services (CDS), to log the information and place follow-up calls to the membership. If you have any questions about the member verification effort, please call Deb Brown at the Chamber office, 703.707.9045 x306.
You will receive a 2-sided form in the mail to verify the contact information we have in the Chamber membership database:
Page 1 - lets you verify your business information and category.
Page 2 - gives you the opportunity to enhance your company listing information, and/or purchase a small box ad with your logo/company description that will appear in the "Business Directory" portion of the guide.

| IN MEMORIAM |
| |
 |
|
(Ann Rodriguez)
|
By now, I’m sure many of you are aware that the Chamber community has lost a former Chairman, great community steward, friend, mentor and colleague, Ann Rodriguez who passed away when she lost her long battle with lung cancer.
Though I did not have the pleasure of knowing Ann, I have come to appreciate her work through the wonderful stories that members have shared with me over the past several days and I share with all of you the grief and sense of loss that you feel. As one dear friend of Ann’s described her – “Ann has been one of Reston’s icons for many years and was such a part of the Chamber’s fabric during the 90s.” Ann’s community involvement included being a FCEDA Commissioner, a member of the Reston Hospital Board of Trustees, and was most recently the Executive Director for the Fairfax Council for the Arts. I know Ann will be missed by all of Reston
Ann's memorial service will be held:
Wed., Dec. 2, 11:30 - 3 pm
Reston Community Center Community Room
Celebration program and food/drink afterwards
There will be no funeral.
The Chamber will send our deepest sympathies to her family.
Ann's obituary can be read online>>

Reston Nature House Pursues Gold LEED® Certification with Interior Design Assistance from Accents by Design
When visitors to Reston’s Nature House enter the new facility later this month, they will experience sustainable interior design at its best. That is because the Friends of Reston consulted with local designer Jacqui Higgins, president of Accents by Design, to ensure that the interior components reflected the design practices embodied by the US Green Building Council’s LEED and Green Advantage Certification. This facility supports the educational mission of Reston Nature House. “Collaborating on this project with CMSS Architecture and HITT Consruction and working with Katie Shaw, Friends of Reston Executive Director, has been personally and professionally rewarding,” stated Jacqui.
