Our annual luncheon announcing the recipients of our 2008 Best of Reston Awards. Guest speaker, Chuck Bean, Executive Director of the venerable Non-Profit Roundtable, will share the results of the just-released study on the ROI on charitable investments. Through nearly 100 examples, "Beyond Charity" reveals some of the many ways in which nonprofits raise the quality of life for all of us in the Metropolitan area and are the lifelines to our most vulnerable neighbors. Return On Investment (ROI) is about more than dollars and cents. When local nonprofits collaborate with government, business and concerned citizens in pursuit of a common goal -- a stronger area-wide community - everyone profits. Copies of the full report will be available for attendees.
