Government Contracting Committee

The Government Contracting Committee is moving forward with a plan to hold an educational event in the October focused on how to best succeed in government contracting and highlighting the best practices of small, medium and large companies. The Committee has split into two working subcommittees, one designed on developing the programming for the event and the other is concentrating on identifying individuals to both serve on the committee and participate in the program. The Programming Subcommittee will meet on July 27 and the Membership Subcommittee will meet on August 3. Both meetings will be held at the Chamber offices. The full Committee is scheduled to meet in September to finalize the event. Committee Mission:
  • Government Contracting will provide Federal Government Contracting insight and opportunity to all Greater Reston Chamber member businesses.

Objective:

  • Government Contracting will develop programming that will educate and provide valuable information.
  • To add value to Greater Reston Chamber members those either are currently, or are considering Federal Government Contracting efforts.

Goals:

  • Build an effective committee.
  • Develop program plans for 2008 and beyond.
  • Target appropriate audience participation.
  • Sell out events.
  • Build on success stories.
  • Help members grow their Federal business.
