Sponsorships with the INC.spire program will promote heavily the 501(c)(3) status of INC.spire to leverage the charitable tax benefits over and abote the benefits of operational and support for the program. Based on the level of sponsorship, companies will receive INC.spire Board of Director seat(s), Mentor Committee, competition judging for the Startup Competition, actove development of the INC.spire program, website promotion, press release promotion, special recognition, and callouts at Chamber events.
INC.spire is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax deductible.
Annual Sponsorship
INC.spire will seek to acquire annual sponsorships from the existing Chamber membership. These sponsorships will be broken into three primary levels: two sponsors at $10,000; four at $5,000; amd ten at $1,000.
Program Sponsorship
Initally this will be a sponsorship for the Startup Competition. There will be two sponsorships of $5,000 each and four sponsorships at $2,500.
Event Sponsorship
Initally this will be sponsorship slots for Network Nights. These will be set at $1,000 each.
Book Sponsorship
The Executive Director of INC.spire has written a book, entitled, "50 Ways to Love Your Startup," which focuses on best practices for managing a startup company. It is planned that at no cost to the INC.spire program this book will be used as a handout to virtual clients, sponsors, and others as deemed appropriate. It utilizes real life business examples that include references to the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, the INC.spire program, and select members of the Chamber in areas relevant to those businesses and in the areas critical to startup success. They and any other businesses or individuals who would want to be a part of providing copies to be available as program handouts at network nights, program events and to the startup companies in the INC.spire program. The INC.spire sponsors for this will be $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 based on the level each sponsor chooses. Each sponsor will be identified with a label noting their participation and appreciation.
As a INC.spire education library sponsor each sponsor will also be identified in the other books and materials that are made available to each participating startup. These books at present include the following titles:
- Free signed copy of “The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur”
- Free signed copy of “Your Virtual Success”
- Free signed copy of “Start-Up Smarts”
Each book has been screened by the INC.spire Executive Director who has determined that these books all published within the last year and half are outstanding reference materials for entrepreneurs and support the concepts and principles of the INC.spire program. The authors have signed each copy with a reference to the INC.spire program. As new books and materials are identified they will be added to what each INC.spire incubated company received as part of their participation in the program.
Friends of INC.spire
For those companies and individuals that elect to offer in kind services directly related to the support and operations of the INC.spire program they will become recognized as “Friends of INC.spire.” This can include those who provide technical services such as web site support, administrative and creation services for collateral materials, books, courseware or other materials specifically related to support for startup businesses and used in the INC.spire program, the use of facilities to support INC.spire education and functions and other areas that will be evaluated as the overall program continues to be refined and expanded. Friends of INC.spire will provide a $1,000 gift to the INC.spire program.
Entrepreneurial Sponsorship
This $7,500 annual sponsorship, noted as an Entrepreneurial Sponsorship, will be subject to renewal each year by mutual agreement of your business and INC.spire.
In consideration of this sponsorship your business will receive the following:
- Listing and recognition as an Entrepreneurial Sponsor of the INC.spire Program. Such listings will include logo placement and text references on the INC.spire web site, newsletters and articles, HD plasma scrolling screens in the office lobby location at 1763 Fountain Drive, Reston, Virginia, on the banner sponsorship screen used at program events and in marketing materials. Where possible and appropriate your business' marketing staff, at their discretion, may assist in preparation, creation and distribution of sponsorship oriented materials and materials used throughout the INC.spire Program.
- A specific press release on this sponsorship will be released as jointly produced and distributed by the two organizations.
- Web site linkage between your business and INC.spire web pages.
- Promotional access to Mentor Council member companies and Greater Reston Chamber companies in a fashion to be determined and agreed to by both organizations and the Greater Reston Chamber.
- Recognition in the program email block as may be used in INC.spire emails and other correspondence.
- Opportunity to participate in the Business Education Series workshop classes.
- Opportunity to host a Network Night at your facilities. Any specific costs for such hosting would be separate from the sponsorship noted above.
- Opportunity to participate in a formal program to educate INC.spire companies on supporting firms.
- Opportunity to staff a mentor team and serve on the Mentor Advisory Council.
- Membership and listing in the Consultant Resource Bank and Incubator Bank.
- Editorial and author opportunity in at least one quarterly newsletter issue under the INC.spire and/or Greater Reston Chamber newsletter program.
- Opportunity to be interviewed and appear on "Business Focus,” the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce's cable television show.
- Opportunity to provide company marketing materials and program services materials for the INC.spire library and to make available to participating companies.
