Consultant Bank and Resource Pool:
In the first ten years of the INC.spire program, a consultant bank was maintained. This included professionals from the chamber membership who were willing to provide time and/or offer special pricing and rates for their products and services used by the incubated companies. We will continue with this approach in the new model looking for consultants and professional services in the following areas:
- Organizational development
- Legal services
- Accounting services
- IT Services
- Web services and web analytics
- Social networking
- Network services
- Security
- SBA Guidance and SCORE services
- Financial services/banking
- Human Resources
- Marketing services
- Web services
- Business development
- Venture funding/early capital sources and financing
- GSA Schedule/government contracting
Become a part of the consultant bank
The consultant bank can and should include all those individuals and their companies who have chosen to participate as mentors on the mentor teams but it will also include the larger number of individuals and companies that only want to participate in the INC.spire program to promote their “specially priced” products and services to the incubator companies by being listed in the consultant bank. This group of resources will be maintained online and will be available only to the incubated companies and all those participating in the support and provision of services to the INC.spire program. Those wishing to participate as members of the consultant bank can also provide a separate special pricing or services plan that can become available to the broader Greater Reston Chamber membership.
Special pricing and considerations will be made available for a minimum two year period and can be automatically renewed at the mutual agreement discretion of each company and the INC.spire program.. Each participating company will be responsible for the write up of services that are available, the pricing and the primary contact(s) all of which will be made available through links on micro sites connected to the INC.spire and Greater Reston Chamber web sites.
Incubator Bank:
Like the consultant bank, this bank of resources will be defined and made up by each participating incubator company. Their unique skills and services will be defined and shared with each other as well as providing access to this bank to all Chamber members. There is a need quite often between incubated companies that can be filled when those companies can identify company competence and expertise within the incubating companies and being able to work together in a collaborative fashion designed to minimize costs, accelerate development and complement staff resources and services offered to all Reston Chamber members. Like the consultant bank above, profile sheets and write ups along with pricing will be completed and maintained for each incubator company and accordingly linked to the INC.spire and Reston Chamber web sites.
