Monthly Events

Network Night

Fourth Tuesday from 5:30pm - 7:30pm: We offer a monthly open-format Network Night as an opportunity for members and future members to expand their networks and meet new prospects. One of our Chamber members hosts this event at its business or retail location. Bring lots of business cards and get ready to enjoy heavy h'ors d'oeuvres. 

New & Prospective Member Orientation

First Wednesday from 8:00am - 9:30am: We host a monthly Chamber orientation for new and prospective members led by Mark Ingrao, President & CEO of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce. At the orientation we provide a complete and strategic overview of the Chamber, our 501(c)3 subsidiary, INC.spire, your membership benefits and how to get the best ROI from your investment. 

Coffee & Contracting: GovCon Networking

First Thursday every other month from 8:00am - 9:30am:  We are excited to present a new morning networking series for Government Contractors. If you are doing business with the Federal Government, looking to do business or would like to network with folks that do either, this is the event for you.   

Business Education Workshops 

Second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 8:30am - 10:00am: We offer business education workshops, presented by our members in their areas of expertise. The workshops are designed to support business growth and education and cover a variety of topics, including: IT, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Legal and many more. These workshops are free to members and cost only $10 for future members.

 


 

Special Events

Virtual Realty Tour (April)

The Virtual Realty Tour (VRT) is an annual event that spotlights development-industry trends and opportunities. In 2012, over 16 major sponsors from the real estate and development industries participated in a revamped VRT with a focus on how the Silver Line will impact Dulles Corridor Development in general and each of their companies specifically, highlighting their expertise and opportunities to 350+ guests.

Reston Interfaith (April)

Each year, Cornerstones (formerly Reston Interfaith) and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce present the Reston Interfaith Awards to celebrate outstanding members of our community who have shown tremendous commitment to improving the lives of others. Now in its 23rd year, this event has raised over $2 million in support of Reston Interfaith's work to prevent and end homelessness in Fairfax County. 

Prospective New Member Event (May)

Annually, the Greater Reston Chamber of Chamber invites Prospective Members and current Chamber Members to the Prospective New Member Event. VIPs and Special Guests share testimony about what being a part of the Chamber has done for their businesses and what it can do for yours. Attendees find out about member benefits for large businesses, small businesses and individual employees.

Taste of Reston (June)

Taste of Reston, produced by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, is Northern Virginia's largest outdoor food festival, attracting approximately 70,000 guests held at Reston Town Center. This popular event features two days of restaurants and community vendors, live entertainment on three stages, a carnival, the Family Fun Zone! and our Wine ‘n Dine area. Oktoberfest Reston (October)

Oktoberfest Reston is produced by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and is Northern Virginia’s largest fall festival attracting approximately 70,000 guests held at Reston Town Center. This event features the best in autumn brews with delicious traditional Oktoberfest fare from area restaurants. Ethics Day (Tuesday before Thanksgiving)

Through our Ethics Day event, we have touched the lives of thousands of young adults whom we view as the future of our business community. Now in its 22nd  year, Ethics Day engages the entire senior class of South Lakes High School in a day of ethical decision making, facilitated and led by our Chamber members. We are proud to share that we were the first chamber in Northern Virginia to offer this forum.

"Celebration" (December)

Kick-off to the holiday season by connecting with friends and colleagues from the Reston business community! This unique and festive "Celebration" includes delicious foods, festive cocktails, lively entertainment and silent auction.
