ARLINGTON, VA, June 25, 2012—Bean, Kinney & Korman, P.C., one of Arlington’s largest law firms and one of the most widely recognized independent law firms in Northern Virginia, announced today that Shareholder John Kelly has been selected to join the Editorial Board of Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy, one of the most successful publications by Law Journal Newsletters, a division of American Lawyer Media (ALM). As part of the Board of Editors, Mr. Kelly will contribute two articles annually to the publication, which provides readers with practical information on business and legal aspects of commercial leases.
“John has significant experience in law as it relates to commercial leasing and will be able to contribute valuable insight as a member of Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy’s Editorial Board,” said Bean, Kinney & Korman’s Managing Shareholder Leo Fisher.
Mr. Kelly focuses his practice on real property law including commercial real estate financing, acquisitions, sales and leasing, and general corporate law. With respect to leasing, he represents both landlords and tenants nationwide in substantial office, retail, industrial and government leasing transactions. His lending experience includes the representation of both lenders and borrowers in complex financial transactions secured by real or personal property, including the negotiation of the initial loan documents and advising with respect to workout strategies and foreclosures.
Mr. Kelly has contributed articles to Commercial Leasing Law & Strategy in the past on topics including a landlord’s right to self-help and a landlord’s duty to mitigate.
