July 13, 2012 – RyanSharkey, LLP is pleased to announce that Lisa Turkeltaub, CPA has won the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) Award for Chamber Excellence (ACE) for Committee Chair of the Year for her outstanding leadership as co-chair of the Chamber’s Government Contracting committee. Turkeltaub was recognized at GRCC’s 2012 Annual Meeting Luncheon & Awards for Chamber Excellence on June 28, held at the Hyatt Regency Reston.
There were five nominees in Committee Chair of the Year category and Turkeltaub was awarded the honor by a selection committee comprised of Chamber Board Members and staff. Lisa’s tireless work and execution strategies were highlighted among many remarks regarding her nomination. Such comments included, “This committee has been revitalized and reenergized over the last two years under Lisa's leadership. The committee is focused on connecting small business to large business. Each event has had an uptick in attendance and has enhanced the chamber's reputation and branding as a business chamber. At these events people grow their business.” and “Very innovative - creating unique events and new networking opportunities. Forward thinking and actively engaged on behalf of the Chamber.”

Turkeltaub joined RyanSharkey in 2011 and has a rich professional background with more than 12 years experience providing auditing and accounting services to a variety of clients in government contracting, telecommunications, and commercial real estate. In her role as Assurance Senior Manager with RyanSharkey, Turkeltaub focuses her practice on audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements and special schedules for emerging to mid-size government contractors, software companies and other commercial entities.
The mission of the GRCC is to serve as a catalyst for business growth and entrepreneurship by providing quality programs, education, connections and advocacy for their members and organizations in the Dulles Corridor. Carruthers works with his fellow GRCC Board of Directors colleagues to help to provide strategic leadership and governance, advocate for the Chamber’s mission, grow membership and support the Chamber’s staff in carrying out GRCC sponsored programs and events.
Turkeltaub’s co-chair, Ken Brody of David, Brody & Dondershine, LLP, was also honored as Committee Chair of the Year with Turkeltaub.
