As summer vacations end and the kids go back to school, it’s a good time to see what is happening at the Chamber! September is the start of a very busy fall season for the Chamber. The Chamber is offering many opportunities for you to network with other business associates, programs for you to learn about how to run your business and as always, promote your business. This month I would like to highlight our Business Education Series, a very important, FREE benefit of your membership.
The Business Education Series is designed to help our members learn about running their businesses. It’s designed to help you in all areas of the business, and programs are also for your employees to grow their skills and knowledge. The best news is that all of this is FREE! Currently, programs are offered twice a month at the Chamber offices. Over the years, I have learned many tips and techniques to run my business from Chamber educational programs. Back in 1995, I went to a Chamber program and learned about the new thing call “internet commerce.” Shortly after that, in the spring of 1996, we opened the door to the www.trainingsolutions.com store. Our business grew and changed forever. I was very fortunate to learn about the internet and much more from the Chamber’s educational programming.
Later this month, the Business Education Series is taking their show on the road into Tyson’s Corner at the Microsoft store to learn how better to use all the Microsoft tools available to your business. This is a MUST attend for those of us who want to learn more about using technology for business success.
