    Member Sales Manager - Full Job Description
    The Member Sales Manager actively grows the chamber’s portfolio of members through new member recruitment and existing member retention.  These goals are accomplished through collaboration with internal and external centers of influence and proactive community engagement.  This role is responsible for collection, invoicing, and other sales-related back-office activities.  Diverse experience and background encouraged.


    Primary Job Duties
    • Self-source new members and sponsors within the local area business community.
    • Develop strong referral partners with chamber membership and external resources.
    • Achieve membership growth and retention sales performance goals.
    • Work with existing members to help them maximize ROI in chamber membership.
    • Oversee the operation of assigned member-led committees and councils.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate sales reports for review by the CEO and Board of Directors.
    • Maintain accurate member records in the chamber database.
    • Manage monthly dues invoicing and collection.
    • Facilitate onboarding and orientation of new members.
    • Assist team members with signature events and other special projects.
    • Perform other duties, assigned, from time to time by the CEO.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree and 3 – 5 years of prior sales experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Self-motivated and able work independently
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills
    • Able to profile member’s business needs and recommend optimal chamber solutions
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
    • The initiative to develop creative methods to meet ambitious business development goals
    • Must work efficiently in a team environment
    • Willingness to engage in warm and cold sales call
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office solutions and able to learn the Chamber’s CRM system
    Preferred Skills
    • Prior non-profit and/or chamber of commerce experience
    • A portfolio of existing clients located within the greater Reston market
    Work Environment/Physical Requirements
    • Must be flexible with work schedule with limited travel requirements


    Operations Assistant - Full Job Description   CLOSED
    The Operations Assistant provides administrative support to the Chamber’s membership sales, communications, and event planning functions.  Primary responsibilities include managing the Chamber’s membership database, preparing and reconciling invoices, creating and maintaining sales reports, and providing customer support to chamber members.  The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented and is willing to work in a team environment and be flexible to support co-workers on assignments and projects as assigned.  Diverse experience encouraged.
