Join the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce GovCon Committee for Coffee & Contracting on Thursday, April 4 from 8:00 - 9:30 AM for a discussion on change orders.
While all businesses need to be focused on growth, most organizations concentrate their time on winning the next big contract or pursuing an acquisition. What frequently doesn’t get the attention required are change orders. Business leaders regularly talk about change orders as if change orders being awarded is a given, but companies rarely establish a methodical process for bidding and winning change order or hold program managers accountable for delivering to revenue targets.
Newport will provide an action plan you can use to increase change orders based upon proven practices. GovCon Practice Chair, Heather Newlin, will explain how her businesses have consistently achieved >20% revenue growth through change orders. Note: change orders refer to the contract modifications made to contracts when new scope is added or other changes to the contract occur, including changes in the schedule, deliverables, and assumptions.
