For over 40 years, the Rotary Club of Reston's service projects have continued to make Reston and the international community a better place to live. Our big emphasis in 2020 is raising money and service to support children’s well-being and education through the Rotary Club of Reston Foundation and support of Rise Against Hunger.
Our service project, on January 11th, will see us pack 10,000 meals for kids and families - many being distributed to schools in poverty stricken areas around the world and places hard hit by natural disasters. Through our partnership with Rise Against Hunger, and with the help of dozens of volunteers. To volunteer, click: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e044aada82ea7fa7-reston. That’s where you come in to help with your donations. To donate, click: https://anython.com/reston-rotary-rise-against-hunger-fundraising-event
After we’ve raised enough to fund the Rise Against Hunger program, donations will be used to support our ongoing community efforts. Including:
1. South Lakes High School student Scholarships
2. Aldrin Elementary Band of Brothers program, Aldrin Reads and a partnership with Riamukurwe Primary School in Nyeri, Kenya – students from Aldrin and their teachers interact regularly with students and teachers in Kenya and your donation will help purchase books for the Riamukurwe Primary School In Nyeri, Kenya.
3. Support for youth programming with the Reston Community Orchestra
4. Operation Warm (coats for kids in need living in Reston)
Please consider donating to helping others the support they need. Donate what you can and spread the word.
