The Corporate Role in the 2020 Census
How undercounting in the 2020 Census could affect your business interests
More than $675 billion in federal funds go back to state and local governments annually through data collected by the Census. These funds are critical to economic development in our region (or sustaining our thriving economy) through investments in federal highway planning and construction, education and training, as well as investments in health, affordable housing, workforce development and human services that businesses, their employees and customers depend on.
An undercount is a very real possibility with the Census being online for the first time. For each resident who doesn’t respond to the Census, Fairfax County loses $12,000 in potential funding over the course of a decade.
Hear from our panel of experts on the corporate role to ensure a complete count and the consequences of an undercount on your business, employees, and the nonprofits your firm supports through its Corporate Social Responsibility.
