About our Speakers

Jen has over 15 years of experience in strategy, marketing and coaching. In 2012, she made a gutsy move into the entrepreneurship space, launching her branding business and became a certified brand strategist. She enables individuals and companies to define their brand and differentiate themselves in authentic, credible, and relevant ways to their target audience and market.
Kelly McLaughlan, CEO, KME.digital
Kelly has over twenty years of Systems Engineering and Digital Consulting experience, having worked for many National and Global Information Technology clients as an Engineer and Program Manager.
Kevin Taylor, Director of Business Development, Communicate by Design
Kevin brings over 20 years of industry knowledge and experience to his role. With a background as a trained designer, he always has a keen eye for successful communications. His agency experience includes websites, branding, marketing, mailing and printing strategies. Kevin successfully guides clients to cbd-x and helps them navigate what matters most to their business, which is different for each client.
Danielle Shortt, Marketing Manager, Thompson Hospitality
Danielle is an experienced business professional with over twelve years of retail manufacturing, fashion retail marketing and restaurant marketing experience. In early 2018, she transitioned from the fashion retail industry into the hospitality industry where she is currently the Marketing Manager for Thompson Hospitality based in Reston, VA. Her experience includes digital and print marketing as well as proofreading collateral (some call her “eagle eyes”).
