In addition to providing an interactive virtual discussion about such ethical topics as Digital Citizenship and Unconscious Bias\, GRCC is also taking the opportunity to enhance the program by including modules on Job Readiness.\n\n \n\nThis one-day Conference for Seniors of South Lakes High School will include four\, forty-five-minute modules that the students may participate in:\n\n \n\n1. Digital Citizenship - Learn from industry professionals about the importance of using technology to engage in society appropriately and responsibly.\n\n \n\n2. Unconscious Bias - Consider insights on the importance of halting Unconscious Bias story creation when engaging with others\, learn about the ladder of inference\, and use of Inclusion Acumen to reframe their thinking through a more diverse and inclusive lens.\n\n \n\n3. Resumes & Interviews Gain knowledge on how to develop their own story to build a resume of their skills that will catch the attention of employees and provided with tools and techniques for online interviews. \n\n \n\n4. Job Fair Attend an exclusive online Job Fair being hosted by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority where they will meet with representatives from companies in the area ready to hire them. \n\n\n\n\nIn 1992\, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and South Lakes High School established a unique partnership - the first program of its kind - to take the entire senior class to the Sheraton Reston where they spend the day learning about ethical decision making and how it will affect their adult lives. Using a series of four different complex\, but real-life scenarios\, students are asked to review\, discuss and reach ethical decisions for each scenario. Table Leaders\, approximately 70 volunteers from our business community\, lead a small group of 8-10 students through these scenarios and facilitate vibrant discussion. Ethics Day is a great volunteer opportunity! You will leave with energy and enthusiasm for what this next generation of business professionals will bring to the business world. \n\n\n\nThe Greater Reston Chamber relies on the generous support of our members to provide this complimentary program. If your business would like to show support for the Business & Ethics Conference and receive promotional visibility\, please consider an event marketing/sponsorship opportunity.
