    Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce hosted the 44th Annual Fairfax County Valor Awards. This prestigious event celebrated and recognized Fairfax County’s first responders in recognition of actions above and beyond the call of duty.     UPDATE: Covid-19 Policy

    Effective Monday, March 14, 2021, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce will remove its requirement for proof of COVID-19 vaccination for attendance at in-person events. This policy, adopted in September 2021, was in response to community health concerns at that time. Fairfax County has since fully vaccinated a large majority of its population and, based on updated guidance from the CDC, is considered a low area of community transmission.

    Reston Comp Plan Task Force - Initial Public Outreach Session Announced

    The Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce will collaborate with the office of Hunter Mill District Supervisor Walter Alcorn to offer an initial public outreach in presenting the interim recommendations of the Reston Comprehensive Plan Task Force. This event is scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM via WebEx.     Fairfax County Health Department Now Accepting Requests for Vaccine Services

    Businesses and community event organizers can now request to host a vaccination team to provide COVID-19 vaccines or education/outreach services so that people can learn more about the vaccines. Requests will be reviewed and matched with an outreach or nursing team from the Fairfax County Health Department.     Vaccine Mandate for In-Person Events & Committee/Council Meetings

    COVID-19 cases, exacerbated by virus variants, have significantly increased in Fairfax County. The Centers for Disease Control currently identify the region as an area of “substantial” spread. In acknowledgment of our role as a community leader, and in response to this increasing public health crisis, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce is introducing additional safety guidelines for all in-person activities, effective Monday, September 13, 2021.
