2018 Ethics Day
Table Leader registration is now closed.
Please note the date of this annual event is MONDAY, November 19 not our usual Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
In 1992, the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and Reston's own South Lakes High School established a unique partnership - the first program of its kind - to take the entire Senior class to the Sheraton Reston where they spend the day learning about ethical decision making and how it will affect their adult lives. Using a series of four different complex, but real-life scenarios, students are asked to review, discuss and reach ethical decisions for each scenario. Table Leaders, approximately 70 volunteers from our business community, lead a small group of 8-10 students through these scenarios and facilitate vibrant discussion. Ethics Day is a great volunteer opportunity. You will leave with energy and enthusiasm for what this next generation of business professional will bring to the business world.
Become an active participant in one of the Chamber's most inspirational and rewarding events of the year. In a partnership between the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and Reston's South Lakes High School, the entire senior class is taken off-site to the Sheraton Reston Hotel to spend a day learning about ethical decision-making and how it will affect their adult lives. Using a series of complex scenarios, students will be asked to review, discuss and make challenging ethical decisions.
As the Table Leader you will lead a small group of 8-10 students through different scenarios to facilitate and encourage vibrant discussion. Table Leaders are required to attend Ethics Day from 8am-3pm. In addition, if this is your first time as a Table Leader, you must attend one of two mandatory training sessions at the Chamber Office in November.
Our 26th Ethics Day will be held on MONDAY, November 19 from 8am-3pm at the Sheraton Reston.
The Greater Reston Chamber relies on the generous support of our members to provide this complimentary program. If your business would like to show support for Ethics Day and receive promotional visibility, please consider an event marketing/sponsorship opportunity. To secure your sponsorship or learn more about our unique educational event, please see our Ethics Day flyer or contact Jennifer Herzberg, Events Associate, at 703.707.9045 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
