Picture this -- your accountant receives an email over the weekend with high importance from the CEO asking for an immediate payment to a vendor, or an employee provides new direct deposit information.  Your accountant takes quick action to execute the request, and unknowingly transfers the funds to criminals. The average cost of a wire transfer via a business email compromise attack, from $54,000 in the first quarter of 2020 to $80,183 in the second quarter.

SSA Kyriakos Vassilakos of the FBI will give an overview of how to prevent these attacks to protect your business. He will also give insight into investigations and how to protect victims.  This is vital information for all businesses, but he will focus on government contractors.
