Resourceful Women “Powered by Play” Series: Yoga Paddleboarding & Networking
Want to boost productivity? Play more! Various research indicates that people who play, especially while at work, are more productive, as well as creative and motivated. The Resourceful Women Committee has developed a series of programs to inspire more play in your day and power you to be productive!
Our second Powered by Play program, Yoga Paddleboarding & Networking, is a collaboration with Surf Reston to provide a new challenge – “yoga on a stand up paddleboard to reinvigorate you [and push you to become an even better yogi] than you thought possible — all while enjoying the natural splendor of floating on water.”
Don't be intimidated - all levels welcome - discover a new perspective on balance and fitness while enjoying the company of other Resourceful Women and business leaders in our community!
We'll start with networking in one of their meeting rooms; light refreshments including beer and wine will be offered. Steve Gurney of Surf Reston will introduce us to paddleboarding - and attendees who want to give it a try will be invited to the Pool for instruction. Bathing suits or comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting wet are encouraged. Attendees who want to continue networking may do so, too!
About Surf Reston and Our Instructor
Surf Reston is dedicated to helping people enjoy Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), the fastest growing paddle sport on calm, flat water, with attention to safety, fitness and the environment. Sessions are guided by certified instructors. Weekly sessions are held at nearby Reston lakes.
Krissee D'Aguiar first became introduced to yoga and has been practicing since 2000. Krissee completed 200hr teacher training at East Meets West Yoga Center in 2012. She brings elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine to compliment the therapeutic benefits yoga asana, crafting classes that awaken, stretch and strengthen the body and mind. In addition to yoga, Krissee has a local craft chocolate company, River Sea Chocolates.Date and Time
