DESCRIPTION
You know it's time - time to get up off the couch and do something about that quarantine 15. We'd like to encourage you to join us for our annual 5k, 1 miler and/or our My Moving Minutes challenge.
This virtual 5k/1 miler run/walk can be a part of your My Moving Minutes challenge or a stand-alone 5k/1 mile run/walk.
Choose from YOUR favorite moving activities to complete 500, 700, or 1000 moving minutes in 30 days. Your moving minutes can be made up of any intentional exercise or outside of regular getting around moving activities. Plan for 30 min of yoga, 20 min of weight lifting, 35 min run or walk, 45 min bike ride, whatever gets you moving for exercises counts towards your moving minutes!
MY MOVING CHALLENGE
Choose what makes you feel good when you exercise! Include the 5k,1 miler, or Halloween 13 miles around Reston in your move time, do what you like most, and/or make a point to do something new or never tried before!
Whatever it is, capture your total minutes for the workout with our online participation board and aim to reach your goal of 500, 700, or 1000 minutes over 30 days!
TEAMS
Make even more fun and create a team! Encourage your colleagues to join your team and go up against each other as well as other teams!
Work to build the largest team for the biggest team bragging right!
