    About Us

The Shepherd’s Center of Northern Virginia is a non-profit organization established in 1998 and provides older adults, aged 55+ with essential and nonessential services that allow for a more meaningful and independent lifestyle. Our team of friendly, trained and vetted volunteers provide the following service at no cost to our clients:

    Medical, Grocery and Errand Transportation
    Friendly Callers and Friendly Visitors
    Minor Home Repair
    Health Advocacy
    Office and Technology Assistance
    Caregiving Support Groups

We also recognize the need for intellectual and social opportunities for wellness, growth and connection. We offer:

Three Semesters of learning with speakers that include topics such as Health, Wellness, Culture, Arts, History and World Affairs
    Great Discussions Book Groups
    Socials, Lunches and Outings

We serve the areas of Vienna, Oakton, Reston, Herndon and Great Falls. We are supported by the generous individual and corporate sponsorships and grants in the communities we serve. We are looking for opportunities to reach more clients, volunteers and partners to meet the growing needs of the population.
